Dependent Provision
Provision for Family & Dependents
Those husbands, wives, children or other family dependents who have not been properly provided for under the intestacy rules or under a Will when a loved one dies can make an application to the Court for relief under the Inheritance (Provision for Family & Dependents) (Northern Ireland) Order 1979. The Court has wide powers to alter Wills and trusts and otherwise make provisions to make sure those who have an entitlement are properly provided for.
What we can do
We are experienced in advising and taking court proceedings to either protect the rights of vulnerable dependents or defend the rights of those who are benefiting in an estate against spurious or unfounded allegations & claims.
